A friend was describing a nightmare she had and I started drawing. Later I fleshed it out into a full charcoal.

Given 2005-12-04

One of numerous experimental, edgy pieces done in traditional medium Face in the Dark by *Spica2041, like all of them, has its own little story, oddly personal yet completely far-out and off-beat. You will not come across art that so aptly and admirably falls under the category of Dark Art as this. (Suggested by ~Helioth and Featured by `oedalis)

Physical distortion of the freaky kind hit a special cord on my fears. This is intriguing. Freaky, man. Nice work.

Hey, just dropping by to say I still absolutely love this. It remains as scary as ever, every time I look at it. It's one of my oldest faves now.

The reason I had another look is that I've just heard about a book that is supposed to give you nightmares, so I thought I'd come here to remind myself what that really feels like before I read the book. We'll see which is scarier...
